Pricing Rationale — Why $199 / $499 / $2,499

Pro $199/mo is anchored against a serious futures trader's existing tool stack: TradingView Premium ($60) + BookMap ($99) + Pine indicator subs ($30–50) + Discord coaching ($50–150) = $240–360/mo before Hapi. Pro replaces the first three rows AND adds AI coaching. The user saves money at $199 even before factoring better outcomes.

Elite $499/mo targets 5+ instrument daily traders + power users wanting voice cloning + V2.0 broker-API early access. Target volume: 10–15% of paying base by month 12.

Institutional $2,499/mo = $30K/year, which is 23–27% of one junior risk officer's $80K–$120K fully-loaded salary — for a tool that monitors 25 desks simultaneously. The "free junior risk officer" pitch is the close.

PT Token Economy (Layer 3)

Pre-paid consumable credits. Aligns marginal cost with marginal revenue (Anthropic + ElevenLabs are usage-priced). Captures price-sensitive users + insulates SaaS pricing from AI-cost spikes.

Pricing Anti-Patterns — What NOT To Do

  • Never freemium past the in-trade coach lock. The in-trade override block IS the moat (Phase 3). Free users feeling its value but paying nothing trains them to expect free.
  • Never per-trade pricing on SaaS. Discourages the user from leaning on Hapi during their highest-leverage moments.
  • Never unlimited LLM/voice on Pro. Caps the company's exposure to Anthropic + ElevenLabs cost spikes. PT Tokens are the safety valve.
  • Never lifetime licenses outside the VIP founding class. Lifetime kills LTV math. Honour the 100 VIP grants; never repeat the offer.
  • Never discount Institutional. Volume = bigger value, not lower price-per-seat. If a buyer pushes back on $2,499, sell them Elite + multi-seat instead.
